SIP will sensitize you to the needs of a community and will enable you to identify their social problems through research. You will learn to design solutions for these social problems through a Techno Economic Viability (TEV) study, thereby enabling sustainable social positive and measurable impact - all this by completely immersing into the community.

The objective of this course is to sensitise students on various social issues prevailing in rural areas. This will provide a first-hand experience on the above issues by working with registered NGOs. Here students are required to work in rural areas and understand their social problems. Post SIP, the students are required to consult their respective faculty mentors and come out with the problem definition followed by collection of data, literature review and solving the problem. Students are required to present their findings before the NGO representative, faculty members and external experts. Students are also required to defend their viva and submit their project report.
