Cognitive computing is the simulation of human thought processes in a computerized model involving self learning system that use data, pattern recognition and natural language processing to mimic the way human brain works. It solves new sets of problems characterized by ambiguity and uncertainty .It solves complex problems in a human like way. Machine Learning in fact is a subset of cognitive computing. Majority of machine learning uses structured data and is used in web advertising and recommendation systems.
